WATERFRONT'S ON FIRE!!!
Actually this isn’t a joke, as of this writing U.S. 19 in Hudson is closed down between New York Avenue and Hudson Avenue. With over 100 Acres already destroyed on the East Side of U.S. 19 were hoping that the winds don’t decide to start gusting today, as like yesterday and spark the West side of the road.
As I watched this fire from the deck of my home I found it just a little close to be comfortable especially with the high winds we have been experiencing lately! Thankful though that no one has been injured and I haven’t heard about anyone losing a home so I consider that a BIG blessing for us here in Hudson.
When I finished last month I noted that many people were paying cash for their homes. Seems this month is a split decision with half being cash and another half being a new conventional loan.
In the last month we have had 4 sales, out of these 4 sales 2 were cash and then 2 for conventional loans. This includes the area of Sea Pines, Hudson Beach, Sea Ranch, Leisure Beach and Gulf Island and Tennis Condo’s.
Currently we have total active properties of 56...The very same as my last writing. But we still have many REO and Short Sale properties that have yet to hit the market!
Remember, there is still time to purchase that waterfront home or condo at a reasonable price!! Interest rates are considerable low and still running around 4% (mol) a 15 year mortgage may even better! And I personally expect rates to remain low until after the November elections.
Remember, January they startedto check your credit score differently. They are now looking at things like your mobile phone bill, utility bill, child support payments etc. This will definitely have an effect on purchasing a home. If you’re planning to purchase please remember to keep current on your payments.
